White River (Sequoia NF) Overview

White River Campground has 13 campsites set among mature cedar along the banks of White River in Sequoia National Forest. This remote campground is for tent camping only and is generally open mid May to late September.

Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Leavis Flat Campground is also in the area.

White River – Outdoor Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors also enjoy exploring the nearby sequoia groves and hot springs.

The Sequoia National Forest comprises about 1.1 million acres, and elevations range from about 1,000 to 12,000 feet, creating precipitous canyons and mountain streams with spectacular waterfalls such as Salmon Creek Falls and Grizzly Falls.
