Erickson Springs has 18 primitive campsites set in a dense spruce and fir forest near Anthracite Creek. All campsites are first-come first-serve.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 35 feet). Each site has a parking spur, table, fire ring, grill and tent pad. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. There is also a picnic area near with a separate ATV parking area near the campground.
Other campgrounds in the area include Bogan Flats, Lake Irwin and Paonia State Park.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
