Gold Creek Campground has 6 primitive campsites and is located near both Lamphier Creek and Gold Creek at an elevation of about 10,000 feet. It is also next to the southeastern boundary of the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area. Spruce/fir and aspen trees provide some shade and are found throughout the area.
All campsites are first-cone, first-serve and best suited for tent camping. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include vault toilets. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is not available.
Other campgrounds in the general area include Almont, One Mile, Rosy Lane, Lodgepole and Lottis Creek.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, backpacking, fishing, OHV trail riding, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Several alpine lakes are also near the campground.
