Highway Springs campground has 13 campsites and is located just off highway 160 and along the banks of the Rio Grande River.
The campground is first-come, first-serve and has great views of the surrounding mountains. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (35-50 feet). Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. There are two vault toilets in the campground, but no drinking water or firewood.
Outdoor recreation includes world-class fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and picnicking. Wildlife viewing can also be nice.
You may also be interested in Cross Creek campground. Beaver Creek and Upper Beaver Creek are also in the area.
