Jefferson Creek Campground has 17 single-family campsites and is located on a ridge overlooking the creek at an elevation of 10,103 feet in the Jefferson Lake Recreation Area. It is also a mile from 182-acre Jefferson Lake (motorized boating / no wake – allowed).
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (parking spurs are 25 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Two mixed-used trails can be accessed near the campground, including the 471-mile Colorado Trail. You can also try the West Jefferson Loop Trail.
