John Martin Reservoir State Park Overview

John Martin Reservoir State Park is located in the Lower Arkansas River Valley of eastern Colorado. It has two campgrounds including Lake Hasty Campground (109 sites with electric hookups) and Point Campground (104 sites). Group camping is also available.

Lake Hasty Campground is located below the dam and next to the lake. The Arkansas River is also nearby. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a parking spur, electric hookup, table, fire ring and grill.

Point Campground offers 104 campsites best suited for tent camping. It is located on the north shore of John Martin Reservoir. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Park amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, vault toilets, showers, laundry facilities, trash collection, a dump station, 2 boat ramps and a visitor center. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area.

John Martin Reservoir State Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, disc golf, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Paddle sport rentals are also available.
