La Vista Campground is situated in a meadow overlooking the west side of the 40-acre Lake Isabel. It is set along the Frontier Pathways and Historic Byway in the Wet Mountains along one of the Colorado Birding Trails.
La Vista Campground has 29 single-family campsites (17 with electric hookups) and is located in meadow which overlooks Lake Isabel. Ten of the sites (1-10) are walk-to sites with the parking spurs about 50 yards from the sites. The sites with electric hookups are 11-27. Two campsites are first-come, first-serve (#17 and #24) and both have electric hookups.
Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilet and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Cell service is not available in the area.
The campground is part of the Lake Isabel Recreation Area. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great with opportunities to see a variety of forest creatures.

Looking to camp July 30 to aug 13 2024
Hi Bill,
Reservable campsites at La Vista (Lake Isabel) will open for reservations on January 30 (at 7am PST) for a July 30 arrival. Click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button then to check availability, pricing and make a reservation. I checked and there are some that will be available, but I recommend trying to reserve as soon as reservations open just in case it sells out. There will also be some first-come, first-serve sites.
I heard there are 2 rv/electric sites in La Vista that are non-reservable, first-come first-serve sites. What site numbers are those?
Hi Harvey
La Vista Lake Campground has two first-come, first-serve campsites (#17 and #24) and both have electric hookups.
