Camping this summer
Hope you have a great time Wendi!
Are there any tent campsites I can drive near to because my tent and gear are heavy ? In my 70s and would like to back into or be a few steps away from tent pad.
Hi Sam,
The walk-in/tent only campsites at Mueller State Park do have a parking area, but it’s about a 40 yard walk from the parking area to the closest tent campsite. You can check out the Muller State Park Campground Map on the campground page HERE.
How big are the pads on the tent campsites. Also can you have multiple tents on one site.
Hi Gingerboy,
We did not measure the tent pads at the Muller State Park campsites. In general, the campsites are fairly large. The tent pads probably average 15×20. If room, you can have more than one tent.
Thank you
Is there room for a small tent and a 30ft RV on site 93, Grouse Mtn?
Hi Judith,
Yes, there is room for a 30 foot RV and a tent at Muller State Park campsite 93.
Do the walk-in campsites have a fire ring or grill? Also, is there a picnic table at these sites?
Hi Laura,
Yes, the walk-in (no reservation) at Mueller State Park has a table, fire ring and grate. They don’t have electric hookups.
One of our favorite places to camp! We love site 123 because it has huge boulders for the kids to climb and play on. Great hiking trails and ranger programs. We’ve yet to see an elk though 🙁
I read somewhere that you have cabins, is that true? Trying to find a place to go where I can take my dog July 4th weekend so he isn’t affected negatively by fire works set off by neighbors. He shiver and shakes so bad I feel bad for him
Hi Suzanne,
Yes, Muller State Park does have cabins to rent. Unfortunately, the entire campground (including the cabins) are sold out for the 4th of July weekend. You can click on the ‘make a reservation button’ to check availability, pricing and make a reservation.
Has all of Mueller gone reservation only? I have seen comments of some first come from campers, but don’t see any options for that online.
Hi Erin,
That’s correct – all campsites at Mueller State Park are reserve only. Reservations can not be made at the Park (only online).
Are there photos of each individual campsite anywhere online to browse before I make a reservation?
Hi Travis,
Yes – we have photos of individual campsites at Mueller State Park:
