Red Creek Group Site has 2 campsites (1 single family and 1 group). It is located 19 miles west of Gunnison just north of U.S. Highway 50. The single-family campsite is first-come first-serve and the group site is reservation only.

The campground is surrounded by national forests and park lands with Gunnison National Forest to the north, Black Canyon to the west and the Uncompahgre National forest to the southwest.

The group site can accommodate up to 20 people and 8 vehicles. It also has tables, BBQ grills, food storage lockers and vault toilets. Drinking water and trash collection area also available.

Other campgrounds in the area include East Elk Creek Group, Elk Creek, Ponderosa, Lake Fork, Soap Creek and Stevens Creek.
