Seedhouse Overview

Seedhouse Campground has 24 campsites (15 reservable) and is located near the Middle Fork of the Elk River in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The large campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a table, fire ring and grate. There are also 3 group sites available.

The campground is usually open late June to early October. Amenities include potable water (two hand pumps) and vault toilets. A camp host also sells firewood. Cell service is not available.

Seedhouse – Area Recreation

This high-country campground is a great basecamp to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also some nice off-road vehicles trails in the area. The nearby Middle Fork of the Elk River also has good kayaking.

Other campgrounds in the area include Big Creek Lakes, Hinman and Hahns Peak Lake.
