State Forest State Park Crags Campground loop has 25 campsites located on a hill near the Michigan River. The campground is best suited for tent camping because the road to it is steep, narrow and winding.
Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Other campgrounds at the park include Bockman, Mendenhall, North Michigan, North Park and Ranger Lakes.
Outdoor activities in the area include boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, horseback riding, hunting and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also enjoy ice fishing, snow shoeing, snow sledding and snowmobiling during the winter months.
The ultimate in rugged Colorado, State Forest State Park offers visitors 71,000 acres of forest, jagged peaks, alpine lakes, wildlife and miles of trails. The park stretches along the west side of the Medicine Bow Mountains and into the north end of the Never Summer Range.
