Staunton State Park Campground has 25 walk-to campsites that range from 180 to 800 yards from the parking area.  All gear/food must be carried to y0ur campsite. You’ll also need to back it all out, including trash. Each campsite can have up to 2 tents and 6 people.

The campground has 3 loops including Ponderosa (sites 1-10), Spruce (sites 11-19) and Aspen (sites 20-25).  Each campsite has a 12×24 foot tent pad, table and bear-proof food storage box. Vault toilets are also located in the camping area (near site #14 in the Spruce Loop). There are water spigots in the parking area, but not in the camping area. Fires are prohibited.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, geocaching, picnicking, hunting and rock climbing. Wildlife viewing is also nice here.

    First time camping there, family of 5. Not toddler friendly but we loved it anyways!
