Stevens Creek Campground has 53 campsites and is located on the north shore at the eastern end of Blue Mesa Reservoir.  Several campsites are waterfront.

The campground is open year round (reservations accepted from mid May to early September) and is set in a semi-arid, treeless shrubland. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is poor in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Red Creek Group Site, Soap Creek, Lake Fork, Elk Creek, East Elk Creek Group, Cimarron and Ponderosa.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, stargazing and picnicking. Wildlife viewing can also be good in the area.
