Summit Lake Overview

Summit Lake Campground has 15 single-family campsites (6 are ‘walk-to’) and is located on a hill overlooking the lake in the Steamboat Springs area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground is first-come, first-serve and usually open mid July through October. Amenities include vault toilets and trash service. There is no potable water available. Cell service is fair in the area.

Summit Lake – Area Recreation

Outdoor activities since the area include fishing, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also some nice OHV tails in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Granite and Dry Lake.
