Timber Creek – Rocky Mountain National Park Campground Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado

Timber Creek – Rocky Mountain National Park Overview

Timber Creek 024

Timber Creek Campground is the only one located on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park and has 98 single-family campsites set along the Colorado River.   Thirty of the sites are designated tent only, otherwise you can use a tent, trailer or RV (up to 30 feet) in any of the other campsites.  Most of the trees were removed because of the mountain pine beetle infestation so there’s little shade at the campsites.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, trash collection and a dump station. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.  One vehicle and up to 8 people are permitted per site. More than 1 tent is allowed as long as they fit in the tent pad area. There is no cellphone reception at the campground. Check in time is 2pm and check out is 12pm. Cell service is poor in the area.
