Upper Beaver Creek Campground has 13 snappy campsites for tents, trailers and RVs along the banks of Beaver Creek in the Rio Grande National Forest. The campsites are set among a nice forest of Ponderosa pine.
The campground is open from May through September (first-come, first-serve) and is also close to Beaver Reservoir. Both the creek and the reservoir offer some fine fishing. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, biking, biking ATV/OHV riding, hunting, picnicking, horseback riding, photography and wildlife viewing.
Its ‘sister’ campground (Lower Beaver Creek) is located about a mile away.
