Yampa River State Park Headquarters Overview

Yampa River State Park Headquarters campground has 50 single-family campsites and is located next to the Yampa River just west of Steamboat Springs. There are 35 electrical sites and 15 non-electrical sites. All electric sites have 20, 30, & 50 amp electric.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Teepees and group campsites are available for nightly rental through the park office. A group picnic area (with nearby playground) is also available by reservation.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets, coin operated showers and laundry facilities. There’s also a dump station on site. Firewood is also available for sale.

Yampa River State Park Headquarters – Area Recreation

Yampa River State Park, located in the beautiful Yampa valley west of Steamboat Springs, offers a variety of outdoor recreation. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, hiking, biking, hunting, volleyball and wildlife viewing. There’s also some nice whitewater rafting in the area.
