  1. Billy Barcs says:

Worst camping experience I’ve ever had. We had 9 people, all family who hadn’t seen each other in a long time, getting together to start our own cousins family camping tradition. The camp sites are barely in the woods, some are just a plain field. The sites were pretty big but for some reason they only allow 2 tents per site. Obviously they’re just trying to squeeze groups like ours for more money. There is no privacy, and the atmosphere is not conducive to the wilderness or to family fun. Planes and helicopters constantly fly over, making lots of unnatural noise, and the park rangers patrol the place like a prison. They drive big SUVS around the camp sites every 10-15 minutes after it gets dark, shining their bright headlights into the campsites. It is a complete atmosphere killer. Apparently quiet time is 10:00 pm, and at literally 10:02 we had the park ranger harassing us because we were conversating and having a good time. He snuck over to our site unannounced and just whips out his mag lite and starts shining it on us and harassing us and started accusing us of drinking and searched our coolers. We are all in our 20s and 30s, and we were being treated like teenagers. He was condescending and arrogant, an extremely unhappy person in general. He threatened to kick us out of the camping grounds, despite having already paid ahead for 3 nights. I’ve never seen anything so absurd on a camp grounds and I’ve been camping my entire life. All he had to do was say, “please keep the noise down”, but he turned it into an entire fiasco over nothing. I will never return to this “camping grounds” and I don’t recommend it to anyone that enjoys fun or camping.
