Anastasia State Park has 139 campsites with electricity and water hookups. The sites are close to the beach and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Most sites have electric hookups (30amp) campsites. Sites are located in the hammock forest, away from blowing sand and salt spray, but most are within easy bicycling or walking distance from the beach. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Our favorite Anastasia State Park campsites are: 4, 55, 66, 80, 111 and 114.
Anastasia State Park campground has drinking water, 3 RV dump stations, flush toilets, hot showers, and firewood available for sale from the campground host. One of our favorites. Traffic can be difficult, but it’s well worth it. Beach is beautiful. Bath houses are clean and well kept.
We came to Anastasia State Park for our first camping trip in our RV. The lush greenery and short walk or bike ride to the beach is great. What is not great is the thousands of mosquitos that attack you anytime you walk out your door. My husband and I are covered everywhere.we each have about 60-70 bites. Mosquito repellent doesn’t help neither do citronella candles. Everyone camping here is looking for bug spray at the campground store, but they are out. A lot of people have left and we are leaving tomorrow. They said the Hurricane has made the mosquitos worse, oh and there are sand fleas biting your ankles as you walk down the beach. The only time you are free of bugs outside is when you are riding a bicycle, and that is great fun. This is especially for people who have children and plan to come here soon. Beware!!!! 🐜🐜🐜
We stay at Anastasia every Christmas season as our daughter lives in St. Augustine. We have a 34 ft. motorhome and prefer to stay in the Coquina Loop which is the closest to the beach. It is also the closest to the garbage disposal and the dump station (not that they are in the Loop itself), which makes it very convenient. If you have a longer RV, you have a limited number of campsites you can fit into and if you want to stay during high volume times make your reservations well in advance. If you’re lucky, it will be either pretty windy or pretty cool/cold so the bugs aren’t so bad. But, it is Florida, so bugs can be bad year-round. We love the towns of St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach. St. Augustine really does the holiday season big-time.
We live in Indiana and just made a reservation for site 116 and 117. Both of the campers have slide outs. Can anyone tell us if that’s going to be a problem? Hate to travel all that way and it not work out for us.
Hi Georgann,
From the looks of the photos of campsite 116 and 117, you should not have a problem with your slide out campers fitting. In both of the pictures there are slide out campers in each site. Have a great time at Anastasia State Park!
It states that campsite 74 is 10 foot wide. Is it 10ft wide the whole length or just partial? My camper is 8 ft wide.
Hi JJ,
Campsitephotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos of each campsite, campground info and a link to make reservations. It sounds like you got your info from the reservation website. Generally when they provide a size (width or length) it is the minimum. So you can assume that campsite 74 at Anastasia State Park is 10 feet wide at its narrowest point. You can also take a look at the photos of Anastasia State Park campsite #74 HERE.
Coming in October for site number 92. Have a 28 foot with slide travel trailer. Are we going to be ok driving in and getting into the campsite ? I recall the tree canopy being low and the road is tight ? Had a smaller camper when I made the reservation last year. Thank you
Hi Deb,
I recommend you call Anastasia State Park directly to check on road conditions: 904 461-2033.

Is there wifi any where in the campground
Hi Mary Ann,
Anastasia Sate Park has free public Wifi available in the beach parking area (down by the beach store).
Are there any drive thru sites and what is the dimension of your widest & longest site?
Thank you,
Kim
HI Kim,
There are no pull-thru sites at Anastasia State Park. And unfortunately we did not measure the length/width of each campsite when taking the photos. I recommend you call the campground directly to get measurements of campsites.

Are any sites ‘hammock friendly’ with proper tree straps?? Coming on Monday for site 62.
Hi Pamela,
Anastasia State Park campsite 62 looks to have some hammock friendly trees (with proper straps).
Florida state parks do not allow hanging hammocks from trees. A few campground have posts for hanging hammocks.
Good afternoon, we are thinking about tent camping this summer in early June. Any good recommendations sites closest to the beach. We are 2 adults and 6 teenage boys who are water boys. Thanks. Ralph
HI Ralph,
Sounds like you have a fun trip planned!. I would recommend clicking on the ‘campground map’ button to see what sites are closest to the water.
I just made a reservation for site 120 and am curious about why it doesn’t show up in the Reserve America campground map. Also, I have a 33′ 5th wheel with a slide-out on the water/electric side and was curious if the site was wide enough. Any info you could relay would be appreciated.
Hi Phillip,
Good question! Anastasia State Park campsite #120 is certainly there – photo and on state park campground map. However, as you mentioned, it is not listed on the Reserve America campground map or on their campsite list. If you made a reservation through Reserve America for this site, then it should be available. You may want to call Reserve America to double check at 800-326-3521. Site 120 is also a very deep and wide site. You’ll have no problem fitting your 5th wheel.
Was wonder what amp the sites are? The say 30 and found 2 that are 50, but might they (RV/Trailer sites) all be 50?? We need 50 amp site.
Thank you
Hi Ana,
You’re correct – in that most all sites have 30-amp hookups. You may try calling Reserve America to see if these also have 50 amp. Their phone number: 800-456-2267
Can you suggest any time of the year when the mosquitos are not bad. I know is Florida but I would hate to go camping and cannot enjoy the outdoors.
Hi Dolores,
Typically mosquitoes are most active in spring through summer (June – October) in Florida. And they get particular busy during dawn and dusk hours. Rain and warm weather bring them out.
Hi, we are planing on going camping and wanted to know if we are able to park our vehicles on the our campsites or are there specifics parking will camping? Also we want to know which three campsites are side by side since we are in need of 3 sites to share for 9 or 9 people?
Hi Elizabeth,
Yes – each campsite has a parking space for your vehicle. Also, you can click on the ‘campground map’ button to check the layout of the campground and where the campsites are located so you can pick three that are next o each other.
we booked site # 81 in Spring 2021. we have a 14 ft teardrop. when we booked, the reservation said tent/rv. now it says tent. can we still park our teardrop and mv vehicle on the site?
Hi John,
Yes – you can park your teardrop trailer and your vehicle in campsite #81. Have a great time!
Does each site come with a grill and a fire ring?
Hi John,
Yes – all Anastasia State Park campsites have a table, fire ring and grill/grate.
Can you tell me the best sites for tent camping (two people) with best canopy etc.?
Hi Nancy,
Unfortunately CampsitePhotos.com does not have anyone on site at Anastasia State Park so we’re not sure which is best sites for tent camping. Perhaps someone else can answer/comment.
We just booked site 83, and the remarks say that trees may prevent you from opening your slides. We have a 30 foot travel trailer. Does anyone know if we will fit? Thank you!
Hi Wrenn,
Not sure if the tree growth will hinder your trailers slideouts or not. The parking spur is 36 feet long and about 15 feet wide. Maybe someone has stayed in site #83 recently and can comment.
