Bear Lake East Primitive Group Campsite Blackwater River State Forest Overview

Bear Lake East Primitive Group Campground in Blackwater River State Forest has 3 group campsites that are near to the lake.   Two sites can accommodate up to 12 people and a third group campsite can accommodate up to 24 people. The campground is also within the Bear Lake Recreation Area and about an hour northeast of Pensacola, FL.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. No hookups are available. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is not available. A dump station is located in the main campground. There’s also a boat ramp, group dining hall with kitchen (reservation only), fishing pier and mixed-used trails.

Bear Lake Campground is also nearby. You might also like Blackwater River State Park.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, bird watching, photography and wildlife viewing. Canoe rentals are also available.
