Grayton Beach State Park campground has 59 campsites and has been rated as one of the nicest camping areas along the Gulf Coast. Each campsite has electricity, water, a table, fire ring and grill. Some sites also have sewer hookups. There are also 27 cabins also available for rent at Grayton Beach State Park.
The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($), and a dump station. There’s also nature trails, vending machines, picnic area and firewood available for sale.
Grayton Beach State Park consistently ranks among the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the United States. The beach is great for swimming, sunbathing, surf fishing and beach combing. There is also a boat ramp that provides access to the lake’s brackish waters for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Visitors can canoe or kayak on scenic Western Lake to get a closer look at a salt marsh ecosystem. A nature trail winds through a coastal forest where scrub oaks and magnolias stand, bent and twisted by the salt winds. Hikers and bicyclists can enjoy more than four miles of trails throughout the pine flatwoods.
Other campgrounds in the area include Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Henderson Beach State Park and also Rocky Bayou State Park.

How far is the walk to the beach from the campsites?

The Grayton Beach State Park beach parking lot is about 3/4 of a mile from the campground. Walking (on camp road) right to the beach is about 1/2 mile.
