Karick Lake North Blackwater River State Forest Overview

Karick Lake North Campground has 15 spacious campsites and is on the north side of Karick Lake in the Blackwater River State Forest. It’s also about an hour northeast of Pensacola, FL.

All campsites have electric hookups and sites 1-8 also have water hookups. Sites and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, restrooms (flush toilets), hot-water showers, a dump station and trash collection. A boat ramp and pier are also near the campground.

Karick Lane South Campground is also on the other side of the lake (about a 4 mile drive). It has 15 campsites with hookups.

Karick Lake North Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Blackwater River State Forest is the largest state forest in Florida, with over 210,000 acres of woodlands, lakes, and streams that has outstanding forest and water resources. Outdoor recreation in the are includes boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and hunting (nearby). Wildlife viewing is also great.
