Hi Nelson,
We checked, and our link to make reservations on the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park campground page will take you to the right website to check availability and make reservations.
I need a park manager to call me ASAP!!!
Not allowing me to book says paige unavailable
Hi John,
Just checked our ‘Make A Reservation’ button link for Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park and the reservation page pulled up for me, but was a little slow. They may be having some technical issues. I’d try again in a few minutes. You can also click HERE to go to the reservation page.
I have the same problem that everyone else. I log on and click book a site, but I can’t access a screen that allows me to book a site. The system needs a major overhaul.
I have stayed at Hanna Park many times , I love it however, it is a massive pain to make reservation please fix access to web site and or allow people to talk to a human being… you cant even call to check on site openings or send an email request to the park staff with out needing to log on several different sites and navigate that mess to even send a request for call back.
HI Robert,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the reservation system for the campgrounds. We provide the photos of each campsite, info and links to the reservation sites. The reservation agency websites can be a challenge sometimes and hopefully they will improve in the future!
We are coming to FL from CO on Jan 15 – March 31… can we book part of the stay (say 2 weeks or so) at your state park. where is the map of sites? we have a 24.5 ‘ RV and would like water, electricity, and sewer if you have these… with a view of the ocean.
Hi Lucy,
From the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park campground page you can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and make a reservation. You can also click on the ‘Campground Map’ button to view the map of the campsites. And FYI – Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is not a Florida State Park, it’s a City of Jacksonville Park. RV Campers can stay up to 30 nights within a 45 day period. Tent campers can stay up to 14 nights within a 45 day period.
Hi, how do we become camp hosts at Hanna Park Campground? We were park hosts at Lake Jennings in lakeside California so we do have experience.
Hi Cindy,
I would suggest you try and call the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park directly to find out about becoming a camp host there. The phone number is: 904 249-4700
Are the cabins pet friendly? where can I see photos of the cabins?
Hi Kimberly,
Pets are not allowed at the cabins at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. Unfortunately we don’t have any photos of the cabins, but hope to get some soon.
The park itself is BEAUTIFUL and the staff friendly! The bike trails are amazing! The campground was full of fun people. A little louder than we were used to but it was a holiday weekend. The bathhouses…. oh the bath houses! The worst EVER! If they would only update and clean.
do you have any sites with RV’s on them to rent??
Hi Kim,
Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park does not have RV/trailer rentals at a campsite. Unfortunately you’ll have to bring your own or rent off-site.
Hi there! Check out Coastal Camper Rentals out of Fernandina Beach, Florida! #coastalcamperrentalsrocks We deliver and setup to Hanna often. We have 2 campers that sleep 7-8 people, have a full kitchen and bathroom, and come stocked with everything we imagine you might need on your trip. Thanks!
We are coming to the RV park for an extended period as our daughter (who lives in Jacksonville) is expecting their first child during the time of our stay. Am I able to get wifi- internet or cell coverage in the park?
Thank you.
Hi Cindy,
Unfortunately cell coverage is very spotty and usually you can’t get service at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. The park does not offer Wifi either. You may try calling the Park to get some ideas – 904.249.4700. And congratulations on your soon-to-be grandchild!
Does the 33.81 per night rv camping fee include water and electric
Hi Pam,
It’s best you contact Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park directly regarding their camping fees. The phone number there is: 904 249-4700
I was told to check the website for cancellations for the 14th and 15th and the website has been down. Hard to get anyone on the phone . Can you help . I already have the 11,12, and 13th booked.
Hi Jae,
The best best is to keep trying to call the main phone number at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park: 904 249-4700
How do I make a reservation? This is what it says no matter what dates and location I put in.

Click on the “Make A Reservation’ button on the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park campground page. This will direct you to the reservation site where you can check availability, pricing and make reservations. We checked the site and it appeared to be working. You can also click HERE:
When I called the campground to inquire about making reservation it says the campground and campground was closed. I still can’t go through the website.
Hi I have also been trying to make a reservation for RV Camping at Hanna Park for May 28 for 3 nights..we have used the website many times in the past with no problems. When we put our reservation in nothing happens The screen doesn’t change I have tried calling directly more than a few times and still haven’t heard anything. We love the park and want to spend time there. Please respond…
Hi Gloria,
Currently camping (overnight stay) is not permitted at Kathry Abbey Hanna Park because of COVID-19. That is probably the reason why the reservation system isn’t allowing you to reserve sites. I recommend you contact the City of Jackson Park & Recs department for more info or updates at: 904-255-7919. Hopefully they will be reopening the park/campgrounds soon.
I attempted to “Book” an RV campsite for our trail trailer, but site is down. R there any avail. In July 2020?
Hi Michele,
The reservation website for Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park seems to be working now, but it’s a little slow. There are also some RV sites availability in July. You can click HERE to check out.
Is Kathryn Abbey campground open now? We have heard that it is closed but have been unable to find anything current in regards to openings and closures. We have reservations at the end of October that we have really been looking forward to. Please let me know.
Yes, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is open – including the campground. You can click on the “Make A Reservation” button to check availability, pricing and reserve a site.
all cabins seem to be unavailable along with every other site, 100% of the campground, full for the weekend of Nov. 19th. is this true?
Hi Debra,
I checked and I see several campsites available at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park for a Nov 19 arrival for three nights. Click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability and insert your dates. The screen shot below shows you which campsites are available (lime green outline):
We are looking to book a site with 4 adults and 7 kids. Do we need 2 sites for tents? Also, can we book RV sites and put tents on the site?
Hi Lori,
Since campsites have a maximum of 2 vehicles and 8 people, you’ll need to get two campsites. Also, you can put up a tent at the RV sites – as long as it is within your campsite boundary.
can we lput a tent up at our rv site?
Hi Betty,
Yes you can – as long as it fits within your campsite boundaries.
What is the distance from the store to the beach. Information as to distance and/or transportation to beach is not available on website. Is parking free to campers if we have to drive to beach.
Hi William,
It is 1,534 feet from the store/adventure kayak center – taking Wonderwood Drive to Ocean Breeze Drive to 35t street. This ends at the beach/boardwalk (parking spaces too). It is 1,668 feet heading north on Wonderwood Drive and then a right on Campground Drive to the parking lot. I’m not sure if they charge campers to park in the day-use / beach parking lot. I recommend you give the park a call to confirm at: 904-249-4700.
Good Morning, I’ve been trying for two weeks to get through to make a reservation for Sept 2-4th and the page is not pulling up. Please call email back so I can get this done. Thanks, Cynthia
Hi Cynthia,
We’ve updated the Reservation link and now it goes to where you can check availability, pricing and make reservations at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park.
Hello,
Does campsite 006 have an electrical outlet of some sort so we can plug in a fan?
Hi Veronika,
Campsite #6 has full hookups – water, electric and sewer.
Question…we car camp in our Chrysler Pacifica. It is just a regular minivan…not an RV. Can we book just a tent site without setting up a tent? We, basically, just need a parking place for a couple of nights.
Hi Carol,
You can camp in your minivan at a Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park campsite.
Is this answer still true? I saw someone complained at TripAdvisor about they were being kicked out from their tent site because they were sleeping in their car in this January. I would like to reserve a tent site or a RV site for a caravan camping trip. But I am afraid if I am allowed to do so in this campground.
Hi Michelle,
Not positive on whether they are enforcing a “no sleeping in your car” policy at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. I’d recommend calling the park to double check: 904 249-4700
I would like to visit from Pennsylvania, do I need a salt water fishing to fish for 1 day?license
Hi David,
The shoreline saltwater fishing license is available to Florida residents only. Nonresident saltwater anglers must purchase a regular nonresident saltwater fishing license at $17 for three days, $30 for seven days or $47 for one year, regardless of whether they fish from shore or a vessel. Here is the link to order: https://gooutdoorsflorida.com/
Or you can call and order at: 888 347-4356
