Oscar Scherer State Park Overview

Oscar Scherer State Park Campground has 108 campsites and is located along South Creek and near Lake Osprey in the Tampa area.  There are 104 campsite with water & electric hookups, 4 tent-only (walk-to) sites and group camping available. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and a dump station. There’s also a visitor center, picnic/day use areas, playground, canoe/kayak launch, fishing dock, beach and tram tours. Firewood is also available at the ranger station.

Oscar Scherer State Park – Area Recreation

The Park has a variety of outdoor recreation including hiking (over 15 miles of trails), biking, paddling (canoe & kayaking rentals available), fishing, swimming, snorkeling, roller blading and picnicking. Birding and wildlife viewing area also really nice here. The ocean and beaches are just a mile from the State Park.
