Silver Springs State Park features one of America’s largest natural springs and the beautiful Silver River where visitors can enjoy paddling through a primeval forest wilderness. It’s also famous for the glass-bottom boat tours that take you over the crystal clear waters of the many springs and past the remnants of historic sites. The Wild Waters Water Park also is one of the popular attractions at Silver Springs State Park.

The Park’s Campground has 59 single-family campsites which can accommodate tents, trailers and RV’s. Nine cabins are also available to rent.  All campsites have electric hookups and 12 have full hookups. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Our favorite campsites are 4, 6, 9, 15, 17, 21, 22, 30, 34, 37, 47, 48, 51 and 52.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and laundry.  There’s also a visitor center, boat ramp, water park and day-use/picnic area at the Park.

  2. Shirley Callum says:

Do I need to make a reservation for a pavilion? We are having a family reunion on April 3rd and would love to reserve the big one! Any chance that will happen?

    • Hi Shirley,
Yes – you can rent the pavilion ($40 for the small one and $75 for large pavilion). Please call the Silver Springs State Park directly to inquire: 352-236-7148. Hope you’re able to get a pavilion!

  3. Hi, are there hot showers, and how much is the pricing? I am looking forward to pitching up my tent.

    • HI Daniel,
Yes, Silver Springs State Park has hot-water showers. Not sure how much they charge, but probably around the $1-$2 for 3-5 minutes. You could try calling the park to confirm: 352 236-7148
