great campground! sites are great and restrooms are clean ! the staff was very helpful !
Camped here in November 2017 with grandson (10).
Nice campground area, most shaded with some privacy. Mile of trails. Better for hiking than biking. Trails were mostly dry and very sandy. Nice spring to cool off in but it does get crowded on weekends. Small store by the spring. Close to town with good restaurants. Grandson said he really enjoyed the hiking and swimming in the spring. The biking was difficult due to the sandy trails.
We love this park! The rangers are very nice, full hook-up are available (usually need reservations), trails and springs are great, peaceful place for R&R. Deer and other wildlife scampering around. No laundry, but good shower/bath facilities, if you need them. In ground fire pits on the site, with grates for grilling. They have two sides, one has a few full hook-up sites and is for primitive camping and small/medium size RVs, the other has all full hook-up sites and is intended for bigger rigs, although anyone with an RV can reserve. This is a state park, so 50% discount available for disabled, with proof of SSI, disability, etc. Either way, it’s very affordable.
