Fort Yargo State Park features a 1792 log fort built by settlers as well as a beautiful campground with 52 campsites, 17 cottages and 6 lakeside glamping yurts.
There are 40 campsites with water & electric hookups for tent, trailer or RV camping. Twelve walk-to (primitive) sites are also available. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground is near Fort Yargo Lake and is open year-round. Amenities include drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets & showers, trash collection and 2 dump stations. The park also has an amphitheater, gift shop, boat launch, playground, picnic and group shelters, hiking & biking trails, a disc golf course, minature golf, swim beach and multi-sport courts. WiFi is also available at the park office.
Outdoor recreation at the park includes boating (1o mph motors or less), canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, minature golf, disc golf, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also tour Fort Yargo.
