Stone State Park campground has 30 single-family campsites and is located in the along the Big Sioux River in the scenic Loess Hills of western Iowa. Three cabins and a youth group campsite is also available.

Nine of the campsites have electric hookups (sites 5-13), 13 are tent only, 1 is walk-to and the others are standard (no hookups). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, vault toilet and showers. There’s also a nature center, picnic area and playground.

Stone State Park – Area Recreation & Info

The park offers a variety of outdoor activities including many trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding, fishing in the Big Sioux River or on the shores of the 2-acre Turtle lake, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center is also located in the southwest corner of the park.
