Apgar (ID) Overview
Apgar Campground has 7 small (first-come, first-serve) sites next to the clear waters of the Lochsa River in a forest of large cedar trees.
The campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 22 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available in the area.
Other campground is the area include Glade Creek and Knife Edge. Johnson Bar Campground & Group Site, CCC, Ohara Bar, Radcliff and a few other campgrounds are located on the nearby Selway River.
Apgar Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
The Lochsa River is considered by many to be the best whitewater rafting/kayaking in Idaho. Fishing is also great. Other activities include swimming, tubing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
