Bell Bay Overview

Bell Bay Campground is located on the southeast shores of Coeur d’Alene Lake and has 26 single-family campsites set in a forested area. Most sites have nice views of the lake. The upper camp loop is on a hill overlooking the beautiful lake, while the lower loop sits on a short ridge along the shoreline. Group camping is also available on the upper loop (up to 75 guests).

Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur (20 to 40 feet), table, fire ring and grill. The lower loop has two docks where boats can be moored.

Other parks and campgrounds in the area include Heyburn State Park, Mokins Bay, Bumblebee and Beauty Creek.

Bell Bay Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on the northern side of the lake, is also a popular destination. About an hour away, the area offers paddle boat rentals, ferry rides, sea plane rides and more.
