Bumblebee Campground Idaho Panhandle National Forests Idaho

Bumblebee Overview

Bumblebee Campground has 24 campsites and is located in a beautiful area next to Bumblebee Creek and near the Little North Fork Coeur d’Alene River. About half of the sites are reservable and the rest are first-come, first-serve.A group site is also available (up to 100 people).

Campsites are spread out and in an open area with little shade. They can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking gravel spur (10 to 45 feet), table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Honeysuckle (Group), Kit Price, Berlin Flats and Devil’s Elbow.

Bumblebee Campground – Area Recreation

Bumblebee’s creekside location creates easy access for floating, swimming and wading. Trout fishing is available about a half-mile from the campground in the Little North Fork of Coeur d’Alene River. Rainbow and cutthroat trout are the most common catches.

About 15 miles from the campground is the 803 Motorized Trail System, which provides dedicated off-road trails and open roads in the Steamboat Creek area. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, hunting, and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.
