5 Comments on “Farragut State Park Waldron”

  1. We stayed in the companion site #193 in the Waldron, nighthawk loop. The site was a generous size with a nice large common grass area in the middle of the loop that left plenty of room for kids to play frisby, football, etc and still be seen by each site. Good proximity to the bathrooms and only a 5 min drive to the beach. TONS of bike/walking trails all throughout the campgrounds as well.

    • Hollie B says:

      Hello,
We have site 193 booked for next month. Do you know if they allow more than 1 tent on the site ? We will have our truck camper, and friends will have tents.

      • Hi Hollie,
You can have up to 2 vehicles and 12 people at campsite #193. Also, you can have a tent, trailer and/or an RV. Lastly, you can also have more than one tent – as long as the tents are within your camping area. Have fun!

  2. How busy is Waldron in mid-October historically? If we are coming from out of state do we need to be worried about not getting a first come, first served site?

    • Hi Tiffany,
All campsites at Farragut State Park – Waldron Campground are FCFS in October and I’d say the campground will be about 40-50% occupied in mid-October. You will have a great chance of getting a campsite. The campground closes in mid November.
