Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area.

Area Recreation and Activities

The Mesa Falls Scenic Byway leads through Idaho’s backcountry to the 85-foot Lower Mesa Falls and 110-foot Upper Mesa Falls, both on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. A beautiful rainbow created by sunlight passing through the mist is visible from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during sunny days at Upper Mesa Falls. The byway is also home to an abundance of seasonal wildflowers.

Other recreation in the area includes kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, horseback riding, hunting and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great here with opportunities to see moose, bear, deer, elk, marmots, coyotes, martens, eagles, osprey and many other small mammals and birds.

You may also like Warm River Campground. Warm River Cabin is also in the area.
