Heyburn State Park has 3 campgrounds including Benewah (first-come, first-serve), Chatcolet and Hawleys Landing. Hawleys Landing has 42 sites with hookups and 10 tent sites. Chatcolet has 38 tent sites. Benewah has 15 sites with hookups and 24 tent sites.

There are also 3 rental cottages available year round. The cottages have two bedrooms (sleeps up to 8 people), a full bath, kitchen, dining area and living room. Cooking utensils and tableware for 8 people are included. Kitchens also have a microwave and coffee maker. Renters need to bring their own towels, full size sheets, pillows and blankets.

Two camper cabins are also available year round. These are 12×12 and have heating and AC. Each cabin sleeps up to 5 people on a double futon and bunk bed. There’s also a dinging table, benches, microwave, picnic table, fire pit and porch swing.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers (except at Chatcolet), and a dump station. There’s also a marina, camp store, public docks and a boat launch. Firewood is also available for sale.

Heyburn State Park – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes boating, water sports, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, windsurfing, and wildlife viewing. There’s also a marina with boat rentals and a camp store with supplies.

You may also like Shadowy St. Joe Campground. Liberty Lake Regional Park Campground is also to the north up by Spokane.
