Ohara Campground Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests Idaho

Ohara Overview

Ohara Campground has 32 spacious campsites in a heavily wooded area next to the beautiful Selway River.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Loop A is a group site with 26 campsites and the whole loop must be reserved ahead of time. Loop B has 27 sites with 11 reservable sites. There are 26 sites in Loop C (9 reservable). Loop D has 16 (5 reservable) for equestrian camping only. Each site also has a paved parking spur (ranging in size from 30 to 45 feet), table, fire ring and grill.

Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, 2 flush toilets, 11 vault toilets, trash collection and a dump station. Cell service is not available in the area.

Nearby campgrounds in the area include Rackliff, Slide Creek, Twentymile Bar, Boyd Creek, Glover, Gedney Creek, Fog Mountain, Race Creek, Selway Falls, CCC, Wild Goose and Johnson Bar Group Site. Other campgrounds (within 60 minutes) include Apgar, Knife Edge, Glade Creek and Wilderness Gateway.

Ohara – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area. The Selway River offers some nice whitewater rafting and kayaking from April to June.
