Priest River Campground Lake Pend Oreille Idaho

Priest River Overview

Priest River Campground has 21 campsites in a forested area next to the beautiful Priest River and just upstream from the confluence with the Pend Orielle River. There are 20 single-family campsites and 1 group site (up to 50 people and 20 vehicles).  Campsites are generally spacious and spreadout throughout the campground.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Hookups are not available. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers (coin), trash collection and a dump station. There is also an amphitheater, playground, picnic / day-use area, swim beach, sports fields and a boat ramp. Firewood is also available to purchase at the campground. Cell service is good in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Pioneer Park, Albeni Cove and Riley Creek. You might also like Springy Point or Round Lake State Park.

Priest River Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, picnicking, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing.

The Albeni Falls Visitor Center features exhibits on the history of the dam and the natural features of the area. Tours of the dam are given daily during the summer.

The town of Priest River is also within 1/2 mile and has stores, shops, gas stations and various accommodations.
