  1. Michelle Williams says:

This is a small, but pretty campground. Most campers packed up and went to Shoreline next door for water sports, but I liked the tiny beach here. It was quiet and very pretty. Gravel roads make for a dusty stay. We had some mosquitos in the evening. Water available from a pump, but I wouldn’t drink it. Look at the sites – large boulders throughout make it tricky for long rigs. The camp host is super-chill. With a lodge on the property, you can buy ice, water, light booze and supplies. There is a nice bar in the lodge. Showers are available for $5 if you are not a lodge guest as opposed to a camper. The lodge may have a wifi for a fee. Picnic tables, fire rings, and cook tops are on each site. The lodge offers cabins for rent and a grassy area for small bumper-pulls and tenters. That grassy area is super-buggy, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The state park section (not the lodge property) has reservable sites separate from the lodge property. We brought our bikes and used them to go to our beach and to Shoreline to check it out. Google maps took me to Shoreline Campground, so be sure you enter the correct location.
