Cross Timbers State Park has 4 developed camping areas at various locations around Toronto Lake in Woodson County, KS. Full RV hookup and primitive campsites are available and most have nice shade with easy access to the lake. Four cabins and group camping area also available. Reservations are accepted for stays starting April 1 through October 31. The park is also open year round.
Toronto Point has 4 campgrounds including Sandstone, timber Ridge, Osage Plains and Clovis Point. There are a total of 80 reservable campsites (15 full hookups, 43 with water/electric and 1 with electric only).
Woodson Cove has 5 (first-come, first-serve) primitive campsites. Mann’s Cove has 15 (first-come, first-serve) campsites. Holiday Hill has 29 (first-come, first-serve) campsites including 21 primitive, 7 with water & electric hookups and 1 with electric hookups).
Amenities include drinking water, vault & flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a playground, gazebo, boat ramps, swimming beaches, basketball court and fishing pier. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp hosts.
You might also like Canning Creek Cove or Santa Fe Trail campgrounds. Both are located at Council Grove Lake.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and hunting. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.
