Minooka Park Campground Wilson Lake Kansas

Minooka Park Overview

Minooka Park Campground has 159 spacious campsites and is on the south side of Wilson Lake in the Smoky Hills of North Central Kansas.  There are 57 sites with water & electric hookups and 60 with electric hookups. The rest are standard (no hookup) sites. One group campsite is also available and has 12 individual sites.

Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, flush toilets, bathhouses (showers), trash collection and a dump station. There is also a fish cleaning station, playgrounds, picnic shelter (reservable), sand volleyball court, swim beach and 3 boat ramps. Cell coverage is good in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (35 to 62 feet). Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.

Group Campsite

This reservable group camp area currently consists of 12 electric back-in campsites. The average width and length for the majority of these sites is 24’ X 55’ with a few sites offering 20’ X 120’ widths and lengths. There are 7 campsites that offer electrical hook-ups and 7 campsites that consist of water/electrical hook-ups. This group area also has playground equipment, large ground fire ring, upright grill, group shelter (20’ X 36’) and waterborne facility (2 flush toilets and 2 wash basins with hot/cold running water).

Minooka Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the general area include Wilson State Park, Lucas Park, Sylvan Park, Venango Park and Riverside.
