Perry State Park has 300 campsites and is located on the southwest shores of Perry Reservoir about 18 miles northeast of Topeka.
The 300 campsites are in 11 campgrounds. Four campgrounds offer 102 campsites with electric and water hookups and the rest are primitive campsites. The Wild Horse Trails campground/loop 9 campsites with electric and water hookups and several others without. All of the equestrian campsites have stalls, tables, fire rings and grills. We have campsite photos of all of the campsites with electric & water hookups, as well as all of the 30 primitive campsites in the Hobby Cove campground/loop. Group camping and 4 cabins are also available for rent.
The Park has two boat ramps, courtesy docks, five shower houses, many restroom facilities (vault and flush), 2 dump stations, 10 group sheet houses and a fish cleaning station. There are also 15 miles of bike trails 25 miles of horse trails and a 1.5 mile nature trail.
Outdoor activities at Perry State Park include boating, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, picnicking, biking, water sports and wildlife viewing.
If you’re heading down toward Council Grove, you may also want to check out Canning Creek Cove or Santa Fe Trail campgrounds.
