Rockhaven Park Equestrian Campground is located on the south side of Clinton Lake and has 24 large campsites for campers and horses.  Campsites 1-4 and 10-24 are for “equestrian campers only”.  Sites 5-9 are open to any campers. All 12 electric hookup campsites are also designated for equestrian campers only.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets, hot-water showers and trash collection. Each campsite has a gravel parking spur, table, lantern post, fire ring and grill. There are also several horse corrals, hitching posts, manure bins, a playground, horseshoe pits, a group shelter in the picnic area. Cell service is good in the area. There is also a day use parking lot for those who wish to ride or walk the trails without overnight camping.

Rockhaven Park Equestrian Campground – Area Recreation, Activities and Attractions

Outdoor recreation includes horseback riding, boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good in the area. Access to the South Shore Trails is located in Rockhaven Park. The main trailhead is on the north side of the campground,

The Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center, on the northwest side of the dam, has several informative displays covering a variety of topics. The Clinton Lake Museum, (at Bloomington East Park), has information on the history of the region and the Underground Railroad. The cities of Lawrence and Topeka are also within a 30 minute drive.

Other campgrounds in the area include Bloomington East and Bloomington West.
