Sylvan Park Campground has 25 spacious campsites and below the dam of Wilson Lake in the Smoky Hills of North Central Kansas. A few campsites overlook the Saline River exiting the dam, while a handful of other sites overlook the Old Saline River channel. There are 24 sites with water & electric hookups and 1 standard (no hookups). One group campsite is also available and has 8 individual sites.
Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, flush toilets, bathhouses (showers), trash collection and a dump station. There is also playgrounds and a picnic shelter (reservable). Cell coverage is fair in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (60 to 132 feet). Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.
This reservable group camp area currently consists of 8 RV campsites, 7 sites are back-in and 1 site is pull-through. Eight of the sites have water/electrical hook-ups and 1 is ADA compliant. Average length and width of the sites are 12′ X 75′. This area is adjacent to (2) playgrounds, large ground fire ring, upright grill, group shelter (20′ X 36′), a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, picnic tables, and a year round water borne facility (hot/cold water) with sinks, flush toilets, and showers.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the general area include Wilson State Park, Minooka Park, Lucas Park, Venango Park and Riverside.
