Cave Creek Campground has 64 campsites (36 w/electric hookups) and is on the shore of beautiful Rough River Lake in south central Kentucky.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (34 to 100 feet). Each site has a paved parking spur, table, lantern posts, fire ring and grill. There are 36 sites that also have electric hookups.
Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, trash collection, a dump station and WiFi. There’s also a boat ramp near the campground. Additionally, pontoon and jet ski rentals are available at the nearby marinas. Cell service is good in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
This historic Green Farm is adjacent to the lake. It consists of about 3,000 acres, a large ancestral home, an old water-powered mill, and a golf course.
Mammoth Cave National Park, which boasts the longest cave system in the world with more than 240 miles of mapped passageways, is about a one-hour drive away.
Other campgrounds in the area include Laurel Branch, Axtel and North Fork.
