John James Audubon State Park campground has 71 campsites for RVs and trailers and 17 tent campsites. All of the RV/trailer campsites have electric hookups. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. The campground has paved roads and campsite parking pads, heated restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station and playground. The campground host also sells wood and ice. Other lodging includes five 1-bedroom cottages and one 2-bedroom cottage.
Keep in mind that the campground is located just off busy US-41 so the traffic can get a bit noisy.

The park has a beautiful museum dedicated to the life and work of John James Audubon, a nature center, conference room, golf course, gift shop, visitor center, lake, recreation center, docks, equipment rentals, hiking trails, picnic areas and tennis court.
If you’re heading south, you may want to check out Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park. It is about an hours drive via Highway 69.
