Lake Fausse Pointe State Park Overview

Lake Fausse Pointe State Park Campground has 50 campsites with water and electric hookups, 5 canoe campsites and 7 backpack campsites. There are also 18 waterfront cabins available for rent. Group camping is also available. The campground has modern restrooms with flush toilets and showers. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and an RV dump station. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.

Area Recreation & Activities

The park is a popular place to enjoy the great outdoor and explore South Louisiana. There’s a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and enjoy the amazing wildlife.  There are also many nearby historic areas to explore such as the city of St. Martinville and Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site.

If you’re traveling west, you make want to check out Sam Houston Jones State Park. It’s about 126 miles from Lake Fausse Pointe State Park.

    Be aware cell service is basically non existent along with wifi. If you stand in one spot by the entrance building you can make a call, but don’t move around or your call will drop. Carrier=Verizon
