Janes Island State Park is located on the shores of Tangier Sound next to Chesapeake Bay. The campground has 104 campsites, 9 cabins and 1 lodge. RV hookups are available. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and hot showers. There’s also a camp store, dump station, marina, boat launch ramp, picnic area and pavilions, playgrounds and visitor center.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grate. There are some full-service cabins with beds (for 6 people) a kitchen (with utensils) , bathroom, porch, AC, heat, BBQ and other amenities. There are also some rustic/camper cabins available with beds (for 4 people), heat, electricity, table and chairs. Youth group camping and primitive back country sites are also available.

Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, hunting and wildlife viewing. In the winter you can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
