Owens Creek Campground has 50 single-family campsites next to a creek and is located in Catoctin Mountain Park. Large trees also provide great shade to most sites. Campsites can accommodate tents, and small trailers/RVs (up to 23 feet). Each site also has a tent pad, lantern pole, table, fire ring and grate. All tents must fit on the tent pads.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and hot showers. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area.
Outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and horseback riding. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.

Hi Araceli,
Good question about our favorite/best campsites. Our photographer will put together a list of our favorite campsites (like at Owens Creek) based on whether they have better views, privacy, size (larger sites) – as compared to the other sites in the campground. Hope this helps.
Great campground. We hiked in and stayed in #30. It is a great spot by the trailhead at the top of the loop beside the creek. The pad is down a slope from the parking spot and picnic table. So nice and private.
Trees are not ideal for tarps etc.
We only had our 2 person backpacking tent. But the pads are at least 12 x 12. We are coming back to car camp here.
Thanks for the review Shelly!
