Schoodic Woods Campground has 90 campsites and is located in Acadia National Park about 1.5 miles southeast of Winter Harbor on the Schoodic Peninsula. The campsites are in a wooded area and within a 15-minute walk of the ocean. All sites are reservable (no first-come, first-serve) up to 2 months in advance.
Each campsite has electric hookups (B-Loop have water & electric) and are best suited for tent camping or small trailers/RVs. There are also 13 tent-only, 9 walk-to/boat-to and 2 group sites. RV campsites also have a table, fire ring and grill. The walk-to (tent only) campsites do not have fire pits (fires not allowed).
Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets, trash collection and a dump station. Grocery, laundry and supply stores are also located in Winter Harbor (1.5 miles from the campground). Cell service is poor in the area.
Other Acadia National Park Campgrounds include Blackwoods, Seawall and Duck Harbor.

Outdoor recreation in the are includes hiking, biking, picnicking, beach combing, kayaking fishing and swimming. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.
