Black River Harbor Overview

Black River Harbor Campground has 40 single-family campsites and is located on a bluff above Lake Superior and near Black River Harbor. Campsites can accommodate, tents, trailers and RVS. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Some campsites also have some great views of Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground. There’s also a harbor, boat ramp and picnic area. Cell service is poor in the area.

Black River Harbor – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, fishing, swimming, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the Ottawa National Forest.  Don’t forget to check out the water falls, creeks, rivers and spectacular fall colors.
