Grand Haven State Park campground has 174 campsites located on a beautiful sandy beach along the shores of Lake Michigan and next to Grand River. All campsites have electric hookups. The campsites are close together and don’t offer much privacy, but the location of the campground is tough to beat. Several campsites are right on the beach.
The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a playground. Each campsite also has a table and paved parking spur. The beach area has additional picnic tables and fire pits. And there’s also a fishing pier at the park.
Grand Haven State Park offers a variety of outdoor fun including sunbathing, swimming, volleyball, kayaking, fishing, water sports, biking, wildlife viewing and sight-seeing. The town of Grand Haven is also close by and offers restaurants and shopping.
Van Buren State Park is also another option. It’s about 58 miles to the south and on the shores of Lake Michigan.

We would like to camp here in August 2020. What is available and what does a site cost?
Hi Jackie,
You can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and make a reservations at Grand Haven State Park.
Do you have anyone that rents their campers that are already there and set up?
Thank you,
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth,
We (at CampsitePhotos.com) are not aware of anyone that rents campers at Grand Haven State Park. You may want to try calling the Park office to see if someone there knows: 616-847-1309
We made a reservation in January for camp site 4. We will be there the first weekend in June. We went to reserve the camper and found out that the camper is 27ft long. Our site can only accommodate a 20ft camper. I saw two sites that fit a camper up to 30ft. I think they were for the handicap. This may sound dumb, but we can’t reserve those correct? At the moment nothing is available for our dates that we will be there and for the camper. I am on the notification alerts if something becomes available
Hi Katie,
Unfortunately you won’t be able to reserve / camp at a handicap site unless your vehicle has a handicap sticker/plate. Hopefully a campsite will open up that fits your rental camper. Best of luck.
